I liked that stuff when I was a kid... growing up in a family of terrible cooks. Canned food, hamburger helper, Reagan Cheese... that was pretty much our diet.

These days, I'll cook my own. You'd have to pay me to eat that stuff.

Or the snobs who can - depending on your viewpoint.

I think I've eaten my last can of that stuff. My system tolerates less these days. I don't do ramen noodles. Or Vienna sausages. Or hot dogs or spam. Processed meat...blah. There's so much I enjoy for me to eat stuff I don't enjoy.

You could assign any number of names to people who enjoy canned beef stew if you were so inclined.

But 'snob' would not be among them

I love beef stew on a cold winter day (or night!)

I agree with this. I haven't eaten Dinty Moore beef stew in decades; however, I think I will put it on a list to have in case of emergency.

We use Dinty Moore Beef Stew as a camping food. Also, split open a hard roll, spread Laughing Cow Cheese on it, add sardines, and enjoy.

I'd love to meet the people who pay others to eat this stuff. I'd like to make some money.

Yeah, me too. I used to love it when I college age. It's not something I was "served" at home, and I don't recall where or when I first tried it, but I liked it. I think I tried it again, maybe a decade ago, and served it up (to myself) over white rice. It's about time to try it again, one of these nights when I have to fend for myself.

After its heated, i put a dollup of butter into it for the potatoes..anyone else?

I ate a lot of it as a kid. Now I make my own and can't imagine I'll be going back to DM anytime soon.
